To celebrate the birthday of the poet Robert Burns, I made shepherd’s pie for dinner and shortbread. Wow, do I miss shortbread. And I miss being in Scotland eating it and drinking a proper cup of tea. So, I decided to make some shortbread and eat it with a lovely cup of Scottish tea a friend sent over from the most beautiful place in the world, Scotland. It was delicious.
We read poetry during storytime as well. It was nice.
Hope you are having a lovely Thursday.

I wanted to make vegan haggis for Burns Night to honor my Scottish heritage. But I ended up eating out instead. That shortbread looks soooo yummy!
Yay for Scottish heritage! I plan to make vegan haggis next year.
