Two Vegan Boys Weblog

A journey of cooking vegan food for my family.

Weekend update…..

Hello there. Adam is much better. The weekend was nice thanks to him feeling good again. Poor little guy had the Roseola Virus. It is common amongst babies 6-24 months old. It starts with a high fever and no other signs. The highest his fever got was 103.8F. Geez. Scary. Then the fever breaks and a rash appears all over the baby. His rash was all over his torso, arms and face. Thankfully the rash is not itchy or painful and clears up in 24-48 hours. Such is childhood, kids share germs and as crazy as it makes me, I know it happens.

Over the weekend I did a bit of cooking. I made sushi Saturday night. I love veggie sushi. It is so good.

Sunday morning I made pancakes with fresh strawberris on top. Yum. We all enjoyed it. I also did some baking. I made an East Coast Coffee Cake from Vegan Brunch and chocolate chip banana bread.

Arthur had Campfire Kids this past Saturday. It was really great. They sang songs, played games, had learning activities and colored a mural. He will get his little vest soon. He had a blast. I love that he is involved in good activities. The other parents are really great. And it is fun for him to make new friends.

Arthur jumping at Campfire Kids. It looks more like he is tap dancing. He hasn’t quite figured out how to jump.

How was your Labor Day? We took the boys to the park. They had a blast. Arthur pushed little brother on the swing. It was so cute. We grilled last night. We roasted some corn. Grilled some portabello caps. Josh blackened them and I seasoned them with some cajun spices. They were so good. We also had baked potatoes. It was great.

Hope you have a lovely day.

peas and love…..
